The icy waters of the frozen north splashed against the ship as it slid its way further north. Reverend Smithe lay on his bed, his hacking cough echoing through his chambers. Every cough splattered bits of blood onto his black robes. Two medics sat in chairs next to the bed catering to the Reverend's every need. The motion of the ship rocking back and forth had made it nearly impossible for the Reverend to stand in his current state. Thus he had spent the last few days of the voyage in his quarters.
One sole thought raced through his head day in and day out. The final battle with Accalia was nearly at hand and in his state he would not be able to help the Forsaken swine Malhavik. He train of thought was broken as his gaze turned to the banner on the wall. A grey tattered banner bearing a black sun. It had been many years since he had seen it. Many more since all of the order's members had gathered in one place. When the Reverend called, they answered. The Order of the Black Dawn had risen once more.
Its members were from every corner of the world. Alliance, Horde, Pirate, it mattered not. All that was important was their loyalty to the order itself. The Reverend himself had been inducted many years ago as a young priest in Gilneas. The order had been of great use to him throughout his life, just as it would be useful again now.
The Reverend clawed his way out of bed, using the two medics to hold himself up. "Take me up to the deck." He barked at the two. The two looked at each other then nodded. They slowly lead the Reverend up to the deck of the ship where the entire crew stood at attention. All eyes were on the Reverend as he was essentially dragged onto the the deck.
"Brothers!" He roared as loud as he could followed by another hacking cough. "The time has come for us to achieve greatness. Our enemies gather around us like flies to a carrion corpse. Whether they be Horde or Alliance, it matters not. It will not stop their onslaught." Another cough leaves his body trembling. "When the beast Accalia enters the world, we will use it to achieve immortality. Only then can the world receive its first black dawn. We will destroy all those who oppose us and reforge this world under one banner." He coughs and points to the the black sun imprinted on the sail of the ship. "Our banner. There will be no more war. No more aggression. Only order. Only peace." He pauses to catch his breath. "Fight like you never have before and we will conquer the world. To your battle stations!"
The Reverend stumbled a little but was caught by the medics. They escorted him down to his chambers and laid him on his bed. He fell asleep without another word. As he slept, the ship prepared itself for the coming battle.
