Found in Shattrath and Dalaran

Postby Skaedi » March 20th, 2015, 2:27 pm

NB: This exchange takes place from March to late April.

Heavy parchment notices posted in the World's End Tavern, the inns of the Aldor and Scryers' tiers, the Filthy Animal and the Legerdemain Lounge:

Crafters capable of detailed and delicate work in glass and metals wanted for a personal, propriety research project. Materials will be supplied. Pay negotiable, but starting at 200 gold a day. Discretion is a must.

If interested, leave name, skill, and a means of contact with the innkeeper.

Research.

DIscretion a must.

Kurgana removed her loupe and considered. She smiled slightly after some quick calculations, and looked about for the inkeeper.

Tendered to The Legerdemain concierge: A standard manila envelope. It is sealed with the impress of a circled, double headed serpent turned inward towards itself. Within the circle is an anvil. The sealing wax is burgundy. After a few days, the seal does not look quite as pristine and crisp as it should.

Within, a letter written on medium stock, conventional business vellum. There are two columns of text, one in Common, one in Orcish. The letterhead indicates a business entity registered and headquartered in Ironforge, somewhere between the Mystic Ward and the Hall of Explorers.

Hail.

My name is Kurgana Barrow, and I represent an independent, specialist mercantile endeavor called The Ring of Law. I am responding to your recent request for skilled artisans in glass and metals who respect proprietary and commercial confidentiality.

The Ring of Law is principally a geological and archaeological research, surveying and recovery concern with auxiliary interests in repair, reconstruction, and innovations based upon discovered artifacts and materials.

As a new venture the Ring of Law is proactive in expanding its client base and expertise. The Ring of Law intends to grow through a combination of quality, discretion and competitive pricing. We are field capable and able to extract resources and utilize them in ways that many other organizations would find too difficult or too daunting. In keeping with our Dark Iron roots, we are of the tried and true belief that to get to the crystal, the geode needs be cracked, and that requires strong hands and firm purpose. We offer the most exacting and meticulous Dwarven and Gnomish technologies and craft.

For further information and details, please reply through the good services of The Legerdemain, and we can meet for further discussion to see how we might profit one another.

Sincerely,
Kurgana Barrow

There follows some administrative and numeric notations in Dwarvish, and a stamp of the seal. It is overwritten with a neat and sparing signature.

Left in the care of the Legerdemain Lounge's concierge, a letter written in blue-green ink on high quality white parchment; the envelope enclosing the letter is very heavy but flat, and sealed with a wax impression of a full moon with three wolves beneath it. The wax is parti-colored, the moon white, the wolves black.

Well met, Madame Barrow!

I was very pleased to receive your letter and very impressed by The Ring of Law's qualifications. Dark of the Moon is a small informal research group; I believe the Ring's emphasis on craftsmanship and quality would suit us very well.

Perhaps we could meet for further discussion the twelfth of this month? The Crystalsong Forest is lovely this time of year.

Sincerely,

Skaedi Moondarken

Delivered by hand from a rather rough looking Dark Iron, impatiently waiting in The Legerdemain Lounge. He fits the Dalaran establishment like a nettle amongst orchids. This time, the document's seal is pristine even if the Dwarf is not.

Hail, Lady Skaedi Moondarken

With great regret circumstances compel me to postpone our meeting. Certain imperative matters in the Burning Steppes require my presence for an unknown length of time, possibly for weeks. This courier can be trusted to carry your response to me with all speed. He and no other will be my courier at this time. If alternate arrangements are possible we will make every effort to accommodate you. If you wish to engage another entity I certainly understand, but I do hope we can do business in the future. You will be hard pressed to find others who can match our skill, price, and versatility.

Sincerely,
Kurgana Barrow

Written in forest green ink on the same parchment as the previous letter, and sealed in the same fashion.

Well met again, Dig Captain Barrow,

I'm sadden to hear our meeting will be delayed. May I suggest we reschedule when you're free, this time in the Eastern Kingdoms? Fuselight is sleepy, despite the goblins, and the hills surrounding it offer additional privacy.

Sincerely,

Skaedi Moondarken
